Dry (fitness clubs) Skin
By Eric Minden
Over half of the world population of men and women have dry skin and have learned to deal with it. But why should you have to learn to deal with it when you can heal it?
There are many known reasons and causes of dry skin and why we have it. Causes include weather, temperature of our showers, central heat and air conditioning, and soaps that are full of harsh chemicals.
How are these causes associated with dry skin?
The weather has a lot to with dry skin with the cold, dry air of winter being the hardest on our skin. Winter weather will make dry skin worse than it was before. This is due to the temperature and humidity levels plummeting. Hot weather will do the same, if you live in desert climates, where the outside temperature may reach higher than 100 degrees and the humidity level may drop to less than 15 percent, your skin will become dry.
The temperature of our baths and showers will also cause dry skin. The hotter the water is the drier your skin may appear. With the shower water we use having high levels of chlorine our skin begins to soak it in. Swimming will have the same affect on your skin.
Using central heat and air conditioning will reduce the humidity in the air in your home, thus causing dry skin.
Soaps that are full harsh chemicals will strip lipids and water that your skin needs.
To reduce dry skin, you should take lukewarm showers instead of using hot water. Also, use an unscented lotion after you take a shower, applying the lotion while the skin is still wet will help the skin to absorb the lotion easier and faster. Using a humidifier will also help. By placing a humidifier in each room of the house, you will notice healthier skin with in a few days.
Remember to keep your skin covered in the winter months and protected in the summer months. Using lip balm will help reduce dry chapped lips, keeping your lips healthy and kissable.

Signs of Rosacea
By Eric Minden
Everyone knows that there are many different types of skin conditions which include acne and rosacea. Acne can affect anyone of any age, but rosacea generally affects women with light complexions between the ages of 30 and 50, it can also affect women of younger ages, this is just a general age of who may be affected.
Rosacea is a skin condition that is generally associated with broken, red capillaries, acne and oily skin. Rosacea is considered a chronic condition, yet there has been no development as to finding a cure or the cause of rosacea. Rosacea is should not cause serious concern medically, but it will cause cosmetic concern and may cause self-esteem problems in women.
There are many symptoms of rosacea, yet there are no tests to determine if someone has rosacea, it is simply talking to a doctor to find out. Symptoms of rosacea include burning on the face, rashes that give the appearance of a sunburn, dry skin or pimple like bumps on the face, blushing or flushing that occurs often. If you have experienced any of the symptoms you should talk to your physician.
There are generally three stages of rosacea that are experienced in the following order.
The first stage is generally dry skin and sensitive skin on the face. Red lines and sore eyes may also appear in some rosacea patients.
The second stage is the spreading of dry skin to the neck, scalp and even chest area. During the second stage pustules or nodules may appear on the skin and may last up to several days.
The third stage is associated with larger nodules on the cheeks and a swollen nose. This generally happens when rosacea has gone untreated for too long.
Luckily there are treatment options for those living with rosacea. Although there is no cure or reason why we suffer from this disease, a physician can prescribe a medication that will help control it. Lack of treatment can cause permanent damage to the skin. Seeking treatment is vital if you would like to stop the spread of rosacea.
If you have begun to notice these symptoms you should talk to your physician about possible treatments. Treating this disease with antibiotics will help reduce the spreading and keep the signs at a minimum.

Yeast Infections
By Eric Minden
Many women around the world have had to deal with pain and discomfort of a yeast infection. Yet, many women have no idea what has caused this pain, itchiness, and discomfort. This means that these women can only hope they dont get another yeast infection. By not knowing the causes of this you may not be able to avoid the pain, so here are some known causes.
Candida is a fungus that is naturally present in the human body. Given the right circumstances this fungus will grow rapidly. This overgrowth will put the body out of balance and cause symptoms of a yeast infection. For yeast to grow it needs to have warmth, darkness, and moisture.
Wearing clothing that is too tight will help in the growth of this fungus. Many women overlook tight clothing as a cause of yeast infections. This is a leading cause of yeast infections.
Other causes may include high blood sugar levels in the body. This is because yeast feeds on sugar, meaning when the blood sugar levels are too high the fungus is given the perfect opportunity to grow. Your mouth is at risk of contracting thrush, another type of yeast infection, if you are a diabetic.
Also, if you like to go to the beach and you dont put on dry clothing when you leave you are putting yourself at risk of a yeast infection. Remember that moisture is one of three things Candida needs to grow. The same thing goes for sweaty gym clothes. I know that it may be embarrassing for some people to shower in front of others, but that is something you will have to learn to deal with if you want to avoid a yeast infection.
Another cause of yeast infections is the use of antibiotics. Antibiotics kill the bacteria in the body which may cause an overgrowth of Candida. If you are prone to yeast infections your doctor can prescribe an oral antibiotic or anti-fungal that will help prevent any imbalance that may cause yeast infections.
Lastly, washing too much can cause yeast infections. This happens when too much of the needed bacteria is killed causing the overgrowth of Candida. To avoid yeast infections when bathing you should not take bubble baths unless you wash thoroughly in the shower afterwards. Also, avoid using scented soaps this will also help in the reduction of yeast infections.
